UTTS (National Vehicle Identification System) is a system that automatically transfers vehicle plate information to payment recording devices (PRD) during fuel sales at gas stations. By preventing manual input, it blocks incorrect, incomplete, or fraud-prone data entries.
This system, developed by the Turkish Mint and Stamp Printing House Directorate, was made mandatory under the 2024 UTTS Implementation General Communiqué. Its purpose is to monitor vehicle-based fuel consumption, prevent tax losses, and secure fuel supply processes through automation.
