How Does Filomap Work?

The Filomap Electronic Customs Seal and Tracking Device:
  • Is installed on trailer doors.
  • Is used in conjunction with the special electronic customs cable.
  • The electronic seal device includes a cable input and a door sensor. These inputs and sensors record the door’s opening and closing events in the system.
  • When the ends of the cable are connected to the inputs, a special electronic signal passes between them. Any tampering—such as cutting, breaking, or attempting a short circuit—disrupts or breaks the signal. If the signal is interrupted or altered, the instant notification and alarm system is triggered.
  • Real-time location data, along with door opening and closing positions and timestamps, are recorded by the system via the GPS receiver.
  • Unauthorized operations are also recorded with their exact time and location.
The Filomap electronic seal device is controlled by authorized personnel (warehouse staff and customs officers) through a dedicated mobile application. Each authorized person has a unique user number. Trailer owners can assign permissions and location-based access through their FİLOMAP user panels. Authorized users connect to the device via Bluetooth and obtain access through the Filomap mobile app, allowing operations on the trailer door within the authorized location. All operations’ time and location are logged in the Filomap system and viewable through the user panel.
